An Update

I've been told that I'm a slacker on updating the good ol' blog lately. So (Mom) here is an update for ya!

One of the main reasons I've been such a slacker is I've been buried under fabric. I'm extremely thankful for the busyness of my fabric shop, but this almost full-time job means making some adjustments as far as how our household is run and improving my time management skills.

We've been spending quite a bit of time outside in the water lately to try to get some exercise before it gets even hotter. Noah loves the outdoor splash pads around the area which makes for a refreshing treat.

Memorial Day weekend was nice and relaxing. Papa came for a visit on his way home from work in California. (Thanks Papa for the loud kazoo...we enjoy it daily!) Then Monday was spent outdoors again in our back yard enjoying our own little splash pad.

Lucas helped vacuum the stairs and Noah wants to be just like him. It melts my heart. Noah dragged his little lawn mower up the stairs while Lucas was vacuuming and started moving it back and forth on the landing.

Today...

...is a banana wrap day.

1. I had recently purchased some fabric sheet savers that can be reused, but boy had I wished I had stumbled upon Tina's Fuzzy Wuzzy Dryer Balls. I'm probably behind the times but I was not aware of this and think it's a fabulous idea!

2. When I first stumbled upon this Etsy site I thought her Mary Jane shoes were so cute. And then I realized she had them in adult sizes! I can imagine these under a pair of jeans and t-shirt. And everything is 15% off through May 17th!

3. I've been looking at some reusable lunch and snack baggies for awhile but always kept thinking, those don't seem like they would work. I recently found the Reusable Fresh Snack Bags and am reconsidering my position. They carry a variety of sizes and are non-toxic, BPA and phthalate-free. I like the way they seem like they at least enclose fairly well as I was wondering if the bread on a sandwich would dry out on some of the other ones I've seen.

4. Ittikid has some great, unique clothes and accessories for children. While it wouldn't be my every day amount to spend on a onesie, I could see splurging for a cute piece from this site.

Have a Fabulous Find you'd love to share? Email it to me or make a comment on this post! And have a Fabulous Friday!

Beloved shovel

No matter how many toys he has, or how exciting I think they are, Noah continually leans toward his beloved shovel. This $.99 tool meant to go with us to dig in the sand at the park has found its way into Noah's hands all day long, including while he's sleeping and eating, going to the store and standing in line at the post office. Might I add, this shovel is no small shovel...

But if he happens to have a hand or mouth free, he'll bring these friends along.

Nana comes for a visit

Nana came for a visit last week. We had a great time and Noah warmed up to her immediately. After she was gone he'd still say her name. We hit the parks a couple of times before the weather gets too hot to leave the comfort of our air conditioned home.

We got our first skinned knee, which he took like a champ. I didn't even know it was bleeding until I lifted up his shorts to take a closer look.

Have I mentioned Noah loves to climb. I wish we could have an indoor jungle gym at home. I could see that keeping him busy for hours.

Thanks, Papa, for sending Nana to come visit. All four of us miss you both!

Sneaky huh? You read it right. Coming in November our family will nicely round out to be a family of four. We're thrilled and cannot wait to meet this little one so snug inside of me! Thank you Lord!
