Welcome.

It's been spring in Arizona for a little while now, yet I'm just now getting into spring mode and creating that freshness in my own home. First thing to change out must be the front door wreath. And why not add a welcome sign while I'm at it?

To help celebrate this new spring feeling, I'm also introducing Dena Designs' Monaco into the store in Fuchsia and Blue. It's perfect to list those spirits up for spring and summer.

Get the Monaco collection in the shop.

Happy Easter!

I promise this really isn't a late post. For Easter weekend we had scheduled to take Noah to an Easter Egg Hunt. I was so excited to take him! Usually I love the change of pace that rain brings to Arizona but not when it means no egg hunt for my boy. So, they decided to postpone it to this past weekend. Noah had a good time and it was just so enjoyable to see what he would think of it all.

He set out in his age group of 0-2 to find those colorful gems spread throughout the grassy area. Once he would pick up one thing, he'd decide that was enough and he'd focus on that for awhile. He also discovered that the ones that mysteriously made it into the basket, might be more interesting than those he had to bend over and pick up on his own.

After getting bored with picking up these colorful round things, Noah decided pine cones were a lot more interesting. Such a nature boy. Definitely his daddy's.

And of course we had to have a photo with the Easter bunny. I mean, he's a week late but hey, nobody noticed.

I can't leave out photos from our actual Easter Sunday. It's fun having a little one to celebrate these special holidays with, and I cannot wait until he fully understands the meaning of Easter and that He is Risen!

One of my favorite books is The Velveteen Rabbit. It seemed like the perfect Easter gift and something he can cherish for years to come. The MagnaDoodle was an instant hit. I was tipped off that he liked it while visiting a good friend of ours. Thanks Carrie! And you might notice the bright colored eggs in the basket. These are hilarious. You go and hide them and push the on button. They say things like, "I'm hiding" and "Come find me." We video-taped Noah searching for the eggs and loved finding the surprises they have inside.

Hello? Hello?

Is this thing on? Yep. I do exist. And to get back into the blogging groove...how about a few pics of our little guy.

We've been doing some shuffling in our home with our front room and needed to roll the carpet up to do so. And the result of that was...a tunnel of course!

Daddy even joined in on the fun.

Noah's latest favorites are:
Pushing anything and everything. Furniture, cars, strollers, and so on. Oh how the furniture moving gets so very frustrating. Please tell me your children did this!

We like watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. And Noah loves to dance to the end song called Hot Dog. Today, Noah started saying Hot Dog. Funny.

He loves to kiss. It is so sweet. He also loves to cuddle his stuffed animals. I so enjoy seeing this side of him.

He has a bajillion teeth. No news there really.

He's learned that he can climb up onto our kitchen chairs. Today, I found him sitting in daddy's chair in front of daddy's food. Doesn't he know not to mess with daddy's food?

When we ask Noah to come to us and sit, he instantly sits wherever he is standing at the moment. That doesn't help us get his clothes changed though.

He's learned to turn on and off the TV using the remote. Sometimes we even catch him while the TV is off just aiming the remote at it. I'm sure it won't be so funny when he turns it off while we're watching it.

When the cell phone or home phone rings he instantly starts looking for it to answer it. And if we use his phone and do a pretend ring, he'll answer that too. He's waiting for your call!

Simple, yet sweet

I hosted a baby shower for a friend two weekends ago and wanted to find some simple, yet sweet decorations. I first saw this idea from Inspire Company Magazine and made a mental note of it. Making the arrangement was so easy and I think it turned out pretty cute.

I purchased the silicone baking cups in a set and just used the three blue ones, since she is expecting a boy! The daises (carnations work too) are stuck into Oasis Floral Foam. And tada! A cute centerpiece to line the table. Perfect for spring.
